EMERGE Partners Keep EU–AU Cooperation Moving Forward
June 9, 2026On 22 January 2025, the EMERGE tool GREENADVISE was presented during the Smart Energy Systems course within the Master’s programme at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, providing students with practical insight into energy system modelling and decision-support tools.
The session introduced students to GREENADVISE as one of the key tools within the EMERGE Toolbox, designed to support the assessment of both the economic performance and environmental impact of customised renewable energy systems.
The lecture explored the motivation behind the tool, its core concepts and functionalities, and the role that model-based approaches can play in supporting energy planning and informed decision-making.
Alongside the lecture, students participated in a hands-on workshop where they tested the tool using pre-prepared scenarios and practical tasks based on real system applications.
The session generated strong interest and discussion around renewable energy systems and the electrification of heating, while students’ active participation and practical feedback provided valuable insights supporting the continued development of GREENADVISE.
This activity reflects EMERGE’s commitment to strengthening capacity building, promoting knowledge exchange, and increasing stakeholder engagement through accessible energy system tools and educational activities.
