Building Inclusive Energy Solutions Through the EMERGE Stakeholder Engagement Methodology
May 26, 2026Reliable and accessible data plays a critical role in supporting sustainable energy planning and informed decision-making. Within EMERGE, the project consortium continues to strengthen the EMERGE Database as an important component of the broader Knowledge Base ecosystem designed to support energy system modelling and analysis across African pilot regions.
The EMERGE Database brings together information and datasets from different pilot areas, creating a structured environment that supports the development and validation of project tools and modelling activities. By connecting datasets with analytical approaches and modelling outputs, the platform aims to facilitate knowledge exchange and contribute to evidence-based energy planning.
Recent project activities have focused on improving the integration of data sources, strengthening interoperability with project tools and enhancing the overall usability of the platform. Additional work is also ongoing to further enrich datasets and support a more comprehensive user experience.
As the project progresses, the EMERGE Database will continue evolving as a valuable resource for researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders interested in supporting sustainable and resilient energy development pathways across Africa.
