The third EMERGE Policy Lab will be organised in Oujda, Morocco, in connection with the second AU–AU Study Visit hosted by Mohamed First University (UMP). The two-day event will combine policy dialogue sessions, technical presentations, collaborative workshops, and visits to several industrial and research facilities, including the Rapid Prototyping Center, APTIV Manufacturing, HIRSHMANN Manufacturing, and the AEOLON Manufacturing plant in Nador. EMERGE Hackathon, an initiative aimed at stimulating innovation, engaging local talent, and generating practical solutions aligned with the project’s clean energy transition objectives across the EMERGE pilot regions in Morocco, Mozambique, and Mali. The first phase consists of local Mini-Hackathons organised in the three EMERGE pilot regions. The second phase will culminate in the Final EMERGE Hackathon planned for October 2026 in Maputo, Mozambique, organised by AfriLabs, ESEIA, and UEM in a hybrid format. Lean more
