Announcing New EMERGE Project Resources
July 5, 2024The EMERGE project, dedicated to advancing sustainable energy solutions in Africa, was prominently represented at the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) 2024 in Brussels. Under the theme “Net-zero competitiveness driving EU energy transition,” EUSEW 2024 focused on Europe’s decarbonization through green technologies and solutions, promoting a fair and just transition for individuals and competitive businesses.
Francesco Roncallo, EnGreen and Nikola Matak, University of Zagreb’s Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture (UNIZAG FSB) represented EMERGE at the event. Their participation underscored EMERGE’s commitment to providing key stakeholders with essential tools and knowledge for clean energy production and responsible resource use in Africa.
EUSEW 2024, held from June 11 to 13, 2024, in Brussels and online, included a policy conference with plenary and policy sessions covering topics related to net-zero technologies, cities and citizens, renewables, energy efficiency, and international cooperation. The event also featured the prestigious EUSEW Awards, a networking village within the Energy Fair, and the fifth edition of the European Youth Energy Day.
EMERGE’s participation in EUSEW 2024 highlights its dedication to bridging cultural and socioeconomic gaps, fostering a united approach to sustainable development in Africa. By engaging with European stakeholders and sharing insights on clean energy initiatives, EMERGE aims to contribute to a global dialogue on sustainable energy transitions.
