From 4 to 7 March 2024, a seminar dedicated to strengthening the International Dimension in Higher Education through the Erasmus+ 2021-2027 programme took place in Benguerir, Morocco. The EMERGE project was one of the initiatives presented during the event.

From 4 to 7 March 2024, a seminar dedicated to strengthening the International Dimension in Higher Education through the Erasmus+ 2021-2027 programme took place in Benguerir, Morocco. The EMERGE project was one of the initiatives presented during the event.

Under the title „Opportunities for international mobility and cooperation between MedNet and African countries“, the seminar was organised by the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) – the Greek National Agency (EL01) for ERASMUS+ programme – in cooperation with the ERASMUS+ National Agencies of the MedNet countries (Cyprus, Croatia, France, Greece, Italy, Malta, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain and Turkey) within the context of the Erasmus+ Transnational Cooperation Activities (TCA) action.

The seminar, held at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, brought together over 165 representatives of Higher Education Institutions from MedNet, Southern Mediterranean countries and Sub-Saharan Africa to meet and discuss opportunities for international mobility and cooperation. Marko Mimica, from the University of Zagreb – Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, joined the seminar, where he had the chance to present the EMERGE project, explaining how it contributes to the cooperation between the African Union (AU) and the European Union (EU), and engage in meaningful discussions on ways to further enhancing and strengthening links between the two continents.
