The EMERGE project was showcased at the 20th Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems (SDEWES), held from 5–10 October 2025 in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

According to Nikola Matak, EMERGE Project Coordinator from the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, the conference offered a valuable opportunity for visibility and outreach. EMERGE was presented to the international SDEWES audience, allowing the project to connect with researchers, policymakers, and industry experts from across the sustainable energy field.

With around 700 participants, the event helped raise awareness of EMERGE’s goals and supported networking with experts working on energy, environment, and system modelling. Participation contributed to continued dissemination and engagement within the wider research community.
